CUSTOMER SUPPORT REPRESENTATIVE

Are you mechanically inclined? Do you enjoy helping customers and solving problems to improve their experience? Can you talk on the phone with anyone and make them feel like they've known you forever?

Flint & Walling is looking for a full-time Product Support Representative. If you are looking for a long-term career in Product Support for an established American Manufacturer, keep reading.

Your typical daily duties might include:

  • Selecting the best solution to solve customer questions or issues
  • Answering phone calls to support wholesale and retail lines
  • Replying in detail to questions via email, fax or direct mail
  • Supporting the outside sales force and improving sales processes

Your skills:

  • 1-2 years customer service experience (preferred)
  • Mechanical/electrical aptitude. You must demonstrate this in an interview setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong phone skills
  • Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Problem-solving abilities

ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST

Individual to provide support to the Controller and other Accounting functions. Duties include, but not limited to, assisting with the general ledger closing process including month end journal entries, prepaid accruals, and GL reconciliations. Compile data and prepare monthly reports. Assist with property tax filing, abatements, annual budget, along with quarterly and annual sales and payroll tax returns. Maintain standard costs and prepare annual LIFO/FIFO entries.

Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and able to deal with confidential information. Position requires advanced skills in Excel, with the ability to create formulas and build worksheets. Accounting degree preferred.

Our company wants to increase its depth within our manufacturing leadership as we continue to emphasize the need to make quality parts, lead a good working environment, and direct a continuous improving atmosphere.

Job Description

Assistant Manufacturing Manager will have a wide range of responsibilities ranging from daily production support, quality improvement, reduction of costs, and improving plant efficiency.  The role requires the ability to combine good strategic planning to improve our manufacturing processes, and strong communication skills to lead and direct a diverse work staff.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Insure all policies are followed to assure a safe and effective work environment.
  • Lead continuous improvement planning to impact quality and costs by:
    • Lead 5S and Kaizen workshops for improved quality and productivity plant wide.
    • Support the development of new and improve current manufacturing methods.
    • Lead plant wide training program for operators required for their positions..
  • Increase floor space management and maximize material point of use storage.
  • Support training for Lean principles and manufacturing best practices.

  • Develop plant productivity metrics, monthly monitoring, and year long goals.
  • Support day to day concerns and long term improvement with plant supervisors.

Education (Min.):

Associates Degree

Experience (Preferred):

Lean or productivity manufacturing experience with 5 years of experience desired.

Directly reports to Plant Manager / President

Working Conditions:

Manufacturing and Office Environment
